TEN MONTHS …. LOTS OF EXPERIENCE

Our apprenticeship program offers the right person a chance to work in the shop for ten months building his own guitars of different kinds, doing repairs, and assisting in the school. The apprentice will keep his or her own schedule, keeping house in the shop apartment, and can choose what to build within the guitar family, from classicals to arch-tops, with 24/7 access to the shop.

Throughout the apprenticeship, he or she will build several different instruments (all to keep), make local repairs to generate personal income, and gain skills in repair work. It’s expected that our apprentice could earn back a large portion of their tuition through sales of instruments and repairs.

 

The cost for the ten month program is $12,000 which includes one-on-one instruction, housing and heat, phone and internet service. The cost of materials is the apprentice’s responsibility. Applicants need to contact the school to apply for the position.
